MCA Kid's Club

Partnering with parents to train up the youngest future leaders

Magnolia Christian Academy’s Kid’s Club is our early childhood, Mother's Day out program for children ages 1-3 years old (Pre-K students are included in MCA’s Elementary Education classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The purpose of the MCA Kid’s Club is to provide an environment where a child’s love for Jesus grows within and his hunger for learning increases!

Magnolia Christian Academy's teachers love sharing Jesus with children while teaching them about the world around them. MCA teachers are certified in CPR and First Aid and have extensive experience teaching young children.

Meeting Times and Location
Magnolia Christian Academy's Kid’s Club is scheduled to meet from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday of each week at Grace Christian Family Center in Tomball, Texas with Extended Care available for $5 per hour, per child, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Classes and Teachers
Magnolia Christian Academy's teachers love sharing Jesus with children while teaching then about the world around them.

Classes offered are as follows:
• 1 year olds
• 2-3 year olds

Calendar
The Magnolia Christian Academy's Kid’s Club will follow the MCA Calendar. Orientation will be August 7th. Parents will have the opportunity to visit their child’s classroom and meet the teacher.

Curriculum
The Magnolia Christian Academy's Kid’s Club is dedicated to providing an academically, spiritually, and developmentally appropriate curriculum.  With an emphasis on preparing children to become lifelong learners, our individualized program combines time-tested teaching methods with hands-on application. 

Goals
The Magnolia Christian Academy's Kid’s Club seeks to partner with parents to:

  • Provide Biblical instruction in a Christian environment
  • Teach positive social skills such as empathy for others, kindness and other Christian qualities that develop good citizenship
  • Create a hunger for learning and exploring the world around them
  • Aid in the development language and motor skills and introduce the basic concepts of numbers, letters, colors, and other academically foundational concepts
  • Cultivate a child’s self-image and provide opportunities for him to express himself through creative activities

To achieve these goals, we offer learning experiences in:

  • Exploring science and nature
  • Outdoor fun
  • Prayer time
  • Reading and math exploration
  • Singing and rhythm
  • Story time

# A Day in the Life of MCA Kid’s Club

Morning Chapel
The children will gather together to start their day with friends and teachers.  During this time, children will learn the pledges, sing songs, listen to a Bible story, and pray.  The monthly theme will also be introduced and reinforced as well.

Learning Centers
The children will have the opportunity to visit several learning centers.  Whether they are looking at books, counting bears, building with blocks or solving puzzles, children will be actively involved in hands-on learning activities.

Lesson Time
Children will be introduce to the basic concepts of numbers, letters, colors, and other academically foundational concepts through hands-on activities.  Reading to students will be an integral part of lesson time as well. 

Enrichment Activities
Cooking, drama, art, music, and other exciting activities will reinforce the daily lesson and/or monthly theme.

Spanish
MCA’s Spanish teacher will visit the preschool classroom one day each week for a fifteen minute Spanish session.  During this time, children will learn meaningful vocabulary through stories, songs, and games.

Playtime
The preschool children enjoy the playground during the day.  Children have the opportunity to utilize the church’s playground equipment, sand toys, and their imagination to explore the nature around them.

MCA Kid’s Club Handbook
The MCA Kid’s Club Handbook will be given to parents at orientation.  This handbook will outline guidelines for drop off/pick up, supplies, detailed curriculum information, contact info, etc.  Each parent must sign that they received a copy of the handbook.

*Non-refundable Registration Fee and Supply Fee must accompany registration forms to secure child(ren)’s place.  First and last month’s tuition are due on or before August 28th.
